Evening lovlies x

HC phoned me earlier this evening, he has been really unwell (spoke to him on Tuesday and he had a sore throat) and now its gotten worse , he hasnt been able to eat, lack of sleep

Think he has got a chest infection but he cant get any antibiotics so just has to cope with it

He put an app for a doc's appointment but that will take ages

It is so hard to hear when one of your children is poorly ( doesn't matter how old they are)

Thankfully one of the guys he knows gave him some vic rub so I told him to mix some with boiling water and let it steam his cell, I hope it will at least clear his chest for a few hours x

I'm sorry to hear HC is not feeling well. It's so hard when our loved ones are sick and especially when we can't take care of them.

Hope he's not suffering too much. He can absolutely request to be seen urgently by healthcare. He can ask an officer to escalate it for him or a nurse on meds round.

As I said during our conversations yest, you feel so desperate when they are ill in prison - there's so few 'home comforts' and that's what we need when feeling poorly...... chest infections can drag on but let's pray this isn't the case and he'll soon begin to feel stronger.

Everything takes so long in prison- even medical stuff. Tell him to keep pressuring them, would an outside call from you help - I wonder, just a thought.......

My two are mature adults now and I still feel uncomfortable when they are ill, which now expands to my grandchildren. Being a mum is so hard and the yern to 'look after and support' our kids is SO strong, it's bloody hard when your stopped from doing that.

chin up my dear friend and big hugs to you and our boy xxxxx

I remember a few occasions when my person was poorly inside. Once was for a toothache and another was when he was rushed to an outside NHS hospital handcuffed to a trolley. He said it was excruciatingly embarrassing but that the staff in the hospital treated him with respect. Fortunately I didn't find out about these occasions until after the event because he wasn't allowed to phone so I found out by email. It's one of the biggest worries about having someone you care about in prison may become ill. Hope your person feels better soon. X
