Hi, I'm really sorry you're both going through this.

Recently, someone in my road phoned the Police wanting information about my ex's conviction because they'd seen him visiting my property to see his son. This sent us into a huge panic and the Police advised that the ex shouldn't visit anymore. His crimes were 8 years ago! My son hasn't left home since. It's incredibly unfair. People are so quick to judge and never ask about any rehabilitation that might've taken place. Its incredibly difficult. Does your son have any friends who could come round to see him? Could he get a job in another town so this is less likely to happen? Wishing you both all the best. X

Hi Poppop, I really feel for you as I know how hard it is to watch your son struggle like this. Initially my son would leave the house when it was dark. He would put a hat on and take a quick walk around the block. From this he progressed to being able to go out during a quiet time of day and then to going inside a shop at a quiet time of day. At the time he couldn't imagine ever feel comfortable outside the house again but now 20 months on he's able to enjoy days out with the rest of the family.

Is there anywhere you can think of that your son would be comfortable in going to and suggesting a short visit there during a quiet time of day.

Hi Pop

Like all the other lovely ladies I am sorry you are both going through this x

Its awful to see our sons struggle and when they loose the friends they feel so alone

He has you by his side and that is what matters, in time he will hopefully be able to gain some confidence back

Maybe just a little suggestion could you both get out somewhere from where you live and just spend the day together, walking, talking just been out wl be a good tonic for you both xx
