Released under investigation

My person has just received an email to say he has been released under investigation and all bail conditions have been removed. Does this mean he is able to move back home now? I'm so confused what this means.
social services closed our case a while back and safety plan was to keep to bail conditions but now they have gone what happens now?

Hi,
from a legal standpoint he could return home. I'd advise against it though for the moment. RUI means that the police no longer have timescales to work to so it could take a while for the investigation to end and charges to be brought. I'd recommend that you stick to the same safety plan as if bail conditions are in place still. You could always go back to them and say bail conditions have been dropped but you are keeping the safety plan the same until you know the outcome of the investigation. This shows them that you are not rushing into having him back home xxx

As above I would contact SS with the update and agree say that you will continue with the plan until you get further info from them as they are not consistent from area to area.
My OH is RUI (for 18months now) and SS have closed our case with no safety plan! They are happy that I am aware enough there no need for the plan. This is the exact opposite that others have experienced so just go carefully with SS until you know what they are thinking so you don't happen to say the wrong thing (from their perspectivce).
It also likely depends on age of kids.... I have one 17.5 year old girl and one 6 year old boy. I think it might have been different if the 6 yo was a girl.
I get mad on behalf of others on this group that SS can be this insistent :(
