*background 240 hours CPO plus restrictions for 3 years and 3 years SOR. Evidence proved he didn't want or ask for it but was still punished*
So after his meeting today with his CJSW hubby has been told he can't attend a concert next month "in case he bumps into any U16s". Last week they said he could go because he was going with his brother.
we also had clarification of his CPO conditions. They are
You have permission to use your virgin media tv box to watch tv and this includes Netflix etc. you should not access other apps on the virgin box such as YouTube
You must not use any gaming applications that involve accessing internet This includes your Xbox
You must not use internet to access internet banking, YouTube, job searches or music job searches will be completed by your job coach
they still haven't had the multiagency meeting yet so CJSW said they believe this is what is meant
I really don't know what to think

I can't offer any advice, just hugs....the restrictions seem very strict. Surely he has as much risk of bumping into U16's at the local supermarket or walking down the street!!!
As for no internet banking or online job searches..... can this not be challenged? Perhaps someone else on here has had something similar? Xx

Hi
yes i find it to be very strict too. I asked about the job searches when the police officer who came to check his devices whilst he was on bail who said she's recommending no internet (court had no issue with internet but that officer did because he had a gaming streamer app that she had apparently never come across. To watch streamers. No messaging option. She got her way) the officer told me that surely he can do this at the job centre (he can't without good cause and he's been advised that SW would inform them which they haven't). It's a mess

Surely it would make more sense to put a monitoring app on his phone? In this day and age it's not easy to manage without internet banking - as we discovered when OHs devices were seized.
I hope you find a resolution xx

Apparently they are not allowed to place monitoring apps on devices in Scotland as it is against their rights to privacy. Yet they can go through your phone to check it. Make it make sense
Can you consult a solicitor about these terms with a view to challenging them? My ex isn't at that stage yet but these seem exceptionally hard, the job search one in particular.
In England, they said my ex could use the internet because he's entitled to a normal life which means using the internet. But, he's got the Police software on his smart phone which they check. He's not allowed to delete search history. Regarding job searches, be prepared for them to say he can search for work in other ways, such as going door to door, sending CV's off, phoning round. Your persons restrictions sound absurd given the details. What was he actually convicted of? They won't be interested in whether he sought it out or not. X

The Scottish courts did look at this and decided the supervising officer can interpret the CPO as they see fit.
I think the situation is similar to England, but you would have to go back to court to challenge the CPO.

He was charged with receiving and possessing of images of the lowest categories with a handful of cat a. Just heartbreaking because they said to him we know it wasn't sought out but we still have to punish you as they exist
