Anyone else had an experience where once their partner was sentencing social services just ignore you??

my husband was sentenced last week suspended sentence and no contact restrictions, I've messaged them several times with questions to no reply whatsoever....what could be the reason for this?? They did reply to my husband on due day of court with a very blunt "social care safety plan still ongoing" and that was it....what changes now he has no restrictions against kids?? He hadn't been allowed home and we are beyond DESPERATE to be a family again, we're broken....my parenting assessment to supervise also completed nearly 2 months ago and still not heard anything more on that....is this usual behaviour for them?

we are trying so hard my home has cameras, door sensors the lot....not sure what more can prove I'm the most protective (dare say overly protective) mother out there....

could this be a sign of something positive? They did say bail restrictions and SHPO will have an effect on their further decisions and our safety plan hasn't changed since before Christmas and were after more time to be a normal family, with me supervising, I am very aware of the seriousness of the crimes and know the signs/how to prevent abuse etc. plus there has been no concerns whatsoever.

this has to meet an end eventually nobody should have to live like this. He adores his son and is working himself to death to show he's safe and wants to be a loving providing father , he's fully honest and open....what more can we do, why just ignore us???

positive stories please and if anyone has an advice on what the risk assessment for the offender from social involves that would be a massive help too :,)

Thanks

Sorry your experiencing this. If the court deemed no contact restrictions can you argue this with social services? Can I ask what the offence was? X

I just wanted to share my experience- SS tend to ignore the criminal law side of things I'm afraid. My OH had his bail conditions lifted last June, judge said he could go home. SS will not let him live at the house. He has no SHPO or asked to sign the SOR. SS have done no assessments on him. His probabtion officer has supported this being moved down to a child in need case and there are no issues with our daughter- Over achieving at school and always has done. They have escalated our case to PLO (to be honest I think this was just to get funding approved). We should have had an assessment with Lucy Faithfull on a child protection plan and they wouldnt fund it.

It is disgraceful how they operate and just casually ignore the legal side of things, you have my sympathy xx

upset mother that's awful have social not done any risk assessments at all or ability to protect assessment on you? They've done mine but not confirmed whether I can supervise or not they just went quiet :( sure we're due a core group this week too and won't even answer to confirm the date we usually get a teams email with it on :/

that's madness the judge basically did say we shouldn't be apart anymore aw it's punishment enough so yeah good thing the law overrides anything else...

hopefully gets better for us all soon

SS literally did nothing for 9 months whilst on a CPP. That's why it went to PLO because nothing had happened for 9 months. Now they have funding approved, they have assigned an independant person to do the capacity to protect with me. Why the social worker couldn't do this is beyond me!

Yes I don't understand the social worker has done it with me but now been 2 months since completion, he leaves this week and said it would he done and wrote up before he leaves, he's not replying and god knows who our social worker is going to be ,

hopefully that's some progress for you, the chair in our conferences has said those assessments are reallt useful in getting partners home as social "err on the side of caution" with their assessments....surely that means they aren't accurate? ????????‍?? my god it's all crazy
