Hi my OH is planning to go non guilty if he gets charged with image offences.

does anyone have experience with how long a crown court trial wait time could be?

we're in the south east if that helps anyone.

I would imagine at least a year but solicitor says it could be 2027 or longer? Any guidance appreciated

There are some pretty big backlogs of court cases. My ex's sentencing was adjourned so many times due to the volume of cases they were dealing with. However it finally happened just over a year from the knock.

Just prepare yourself for an adjournment when you get the first hearing date through as it seems to be very common at the moment.

I think you'll be looking at 2027.

Our barrister told us it was at least 18-24 months for a trial to potentially still receive the same sentence (minus early plea bargain).
