Hi
my husband starts his risk assessment with social services on Monday
We REALLY need him home!
those who's partners are now home what sort of things did they say in their risk assessment to work in their favour? What sort of thighs does it involve? How does it work? My husband is so afraid he's going to mess up, he's being truthful, but he's afraid to slip up on his wording :( like what's the best attitude and outcomes possible ?
sorry for all the questions were desperately working hard as we can
thankyou

SS never did an assessment with my OH and I'm not sure why. I just thinks he needs to not minimise what he did, acknowledge what he did and anything he has done to change. He can't turn round and say "I'm not a risk". They don't like hearing that. I'm sure there are lots of other ladies who can provide more advice x
I am also waiting on this being done on my children's dad .
its such a long frustrating process . Apparently he's 4th on the waiting list. Whatever that means

Can I ask how the assessment went ? What did they ask?
I have mine in a couple of weeks ??

I've not posted in almost a year but I've scoured the forum for this very thing.
we are almost at the end so I shall offer some help.
We got the knock last June, sw for assessment and closed as not allowed home until devices checked.
bail conditions changed in September and allowed home which triggered another sw assessment. This went on till Feb but they said no.
escalated to CIN in Feb with monthly network meetings and planned and unplanned visits.
early June we got NFA as nothing in phone or laptop. SW still won't allow him home until risk assessment is done.
Currently had 3 sessions each and our joint on is next Wednesday. They will then put together their recommendations and present to us in August. This will be in place from September and be a 3 month trial (I've been firm and want it done by Christmas)
So far for him it's been about his past, childhood, online behaviour etc. The only advice I can give is be honest, don't diminish what's happened, own it, admit it and tell them everything you're doing to prevent it happening again.
They also ran a full police check on my husband (came back clear) but if something shows then they need extra sessions to cover that.
My husband has done the information plus course, had a Stopso therapist and utilised the helpline. He has sought medication from the gp for depression and has a social prescriber.
Happy to be messaged to any in depth questions x
