Hi,

Has anyone here's 'person' done one of the paid courses offered by Stop It Now? Apart from the courses being in person, how else do they differ from the free modules? Are they much more detailed and helpful?

Thank you.

My OH didn't particularly want to do a group course - he ended up doing the Safer Lives course which is one on one and done via team/zoom

He learnt a lot about how his online behaviour had escalated, the causes, the potential outcomes and also tools and mechanisms to prevent reoffending.

With the Safer Lives course you can also email your course tutor afterwards as things progress through the justice system, for support and advice.

The cost was around the same as the Inform plus I believe.

I also did the Inform course (free) which helped me immensely

Xx

Hi,

my partner did the engage plus course. He found it hugely beneficial. I don't know how much it differs from the modules because he didn't do those.
He did his course 1 to 1 online and said it was really helpful to talk through things with someone who wasn't judgmental or part of the agencies involved like probation or offender management.

He also completed the horizon course which was done as a group over about 10 months. He got a lot from that too and has been able to implement some of the strategies from there into his life to address issues xxx

Thank you both. Useful to hear how people have found these courses. I will investigate some more.
