Had social worker come out today to talk about the potential of my person moving home. Although she can not promise the outcome she seemed really positive that I could keep my child safe. I've given ways I can keep her safe at night, if I need a shower, toilet etc, I had answers for every thing. Just a waiting game now to see if they agree to supervised at home or not. She did however state that regardless the whole situation would trigger a CIN plan, which I'm not happy about as it's been a good few years since the first came out after the knock but if it means doing that for a few months then so be it.

I feel like there's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnels although I fear we are still a long way off!

Hi,

that does sound positive. It doesn't necessarily trigger a child in need plan. Once I had given my safety plan for a phased return and gradual move to unsupervised contact the social worker was involved for two weeks and that was one face to face and the rest via email.
My safety plan includes meeting with the school safeguarding lead every four weeks which is more than on a cin plan would do xxx
