Does it ever leave you?

It occurred to me today, that we are exactly 1 year on from the day that my OH committed the offence for which he was arrested (well, today and tomorrow). A brief conversation with what has turned out to be a police decoy, which brought my happy little life tumbling down around my ears.
The next 'anniversary' will be the arrest date, swiftly followed by the attempted suicide date...... does it ever go away? These anniversaries of awful occurrences? Or do we just learn to live with them.....
Soon we will have the plea hearing, then the sentencing date. I'm not really sleeping well at the moment - combination of the warm weather and my over active imagination. I go through over and over what I'm going to say to family and friends if it gets reported.
I know I'll get through, as we all will - but I just needed to vent a bit xx

We are almost 5 months sentence spent and the days are a lot brighter but some days it still creeps up on you, take each day as it comes sending love and strength x
The anniversaries keep popping up but soon I will have the happier anniversary's of buying my own home and a divorce anniversary. Happier days are on the horizon ????
Im 21months on from my soon to be ex husband arrest and 16 months from him being sentenced for 8 yrs. You ask does is ever leave you? For me, it will never leave me I've just learnt to live with it the best way I can. Im hoping that when my divorce has been finalised my mind will have some ease. Getting a divorce when they are in prison is long and challenging but there was no way could I stay married to him after his crimes that destroyed so many lives including mine.
