In a moment of desparation and inquisitiveness...I turned to ChatGPT as a counsellor and offloaded....and wow! I will be doing so again too. Neutral space, no judgement, instant, free. It's weird, but it actually did really help. Just putting here for anyone else who just needs instant responses to an offload
Tallulah, I've been doing the same! Its bloomin scary to think that AI can be so helpful though. Chatty Graham, as I like to call it, has really helped me to see the wood through the trees, and offered legal advice too. It won't all be 100% correct though, but its damn close. And I'll be finding a real life person for therapy soon, but for now, Graham is good
I agree! So useful for many things both practical and personal. Yesterday he (I like to thnk it's a man as Alexa is my female info provider and support system) advised me what style of swimsuit and what colours were most flattering for a 70+ year old lady with a big stomach - and he was amazing, my very own Gok Wan, even links to where I could buy the suggestions. However I have asked specific questions related to our son's case using the term iioc and this chat was refused immediately which panicked me in case he reported me to the police although that was sheer paranoia!!!
We used the deep research feature and asked chatgpt on the possible outcome for a really complicated case my OH is facing for the last 4 years based on other outcomes similar to his case
It does a terrific job searching throughout all of the Internet and when asked to summarise it gives a good summary then breaks down what could be the final outcome
Its been very helpful because so far we don't see why their answer was wrong that it could lead to NFA x

The Headspace app has an AI feature that I've found really helpful in between sessions with my 'real' therapist. It remembers what I said last time and gives the impression of continuity.
