Sky News have done an article on the fact that there's no hero available for the children of online child sex abusers. This has affect my children and I hugely. There is help of course, if you can afford it. These children should be treated as victims too.

My youngest regularly becomes distraught at her 'ruined childhood' and loss of being carefree / innocent of the horrible behaviour her dad got up to. She doesn't miss her dad living with us as he was pretty crappy to her, but the effect of his crimes on me is really affecting her too. My oldest is stoic but I worry about what's under the surface.

I think it's shocking that children of perpetrators are forgotten about. Especially when it comes to the outcome and details are released. It's awful.

It was a good report but somewhat misleading. The offenders can ring the LFF helpline, but I see no reason why a child in that situation could not also ring the helpline and there are other services like Childline, NSPCC or Barnados who could help surely?

I'm just glad that information is getting out there now about how awful this is for the innocent children of these child abusing fathers. The children need to be recognised as victims and treated as such by the Police, schools etc.

Great report showing how the real victims are abandoned and left to fend for themselves. It's too late for us now but hopefully children of online offenders will start to get support going forward.
