Hello everyone,

Devastatingly, a few days ago received the 'knock' for my Son who's 20, 19 at time x IP address reported by Snapchat for 1 image which took place 8 months ago and was reported but only now they've come out to us x Son was arrested and phone siezed, they weren't Interested in his computer/xbox and went through his phone at home and in station but said there absolutely nothing on there but will still need to be sent off. OIC rang me after brief interview with Son and said don't be too hard on him (as I said on arrival of them coming to house, for him to leave as I was so shocked and when you hear those words IOC everything goes through your mind) he said if his phone is clear there's NFA but this will be drawn out for months I'm expecting! He is on bail atm but there's no restriction on him being under the same roof as my daughter who's 17. I'm just so confused and worried, haven't eaten or slept x thankyou for listening x

Be gentle on yourself. We are all in, or have been in the same boat. I'm 1 month post knock and am just starting to feel like I can cope with life again - albeit a different life. The initial shock was horrendous and I didn't eat or sleep for days - it's fight or flight and survival mode.

just take a day at a time x

Such a similar story to mine. We are four months on from where you are and still in limbo but life is going on as normal. I really fell apart initially but GP was great and I'm coping well now. Here if you ever want to talk.

Hi Daisy, how terrible for you. I would say it's every parent's nightmare, but no parent imagines this or has it on their radar.

I agree the initial shock is horrendous. I think when we here IIOC we automatically think of young children and middle aged adults, not legal children who might only be a year or two younger than a young legal adult.

I hope the forensic limbo passes as soon as possible for your son.x
