A month post sentencing and it feels like it's one thing after the other.
Today I got in touch with SS as they went to see my kids in school yesterday and they're now saying as I didn't go to the court and hear the evidence they're not sure if I am informed enough to surprise anymore.
It was put in the plan that I attend the trial court when he was pleading not guilty, we told them he had plead guilty and i just assumed that as it wasn't going to trial i wouldn't have to attend. My person has said they only read out the charges in court, no evidence or defense so I'm not sure what evidence i would have heard going and the social worker just keeps saying I should have still gone. All well and good when you don't have anyone else to look after the kids... the social worker was supposed to come with me and didn't arrange for it so it also made me assume that I didn't have to go or she'd have arranged coming with me...
I've also read all the extension letters and the disclosure sent to cps so feel like I probably do know all the evidence or at least more than I'd have found out at the sentencing.
Im just so frustrated as the officer my person goes to said he couldn't see why he couldn't come home so to now be told my kids might lose access or it be alot harder is a hard thing to take.
Anyone had experience like this before?
