Sentencing Outcomes

I know it's not going to help but interested to hear what the sentencing outcomes were in your cases - Specifically the type of and number of images. Thanks, Jackie.
Hi
After the police searched multiple devices forensically they found that my partner had downloaded and subsequently deleted 4 moving images which equated to 48 seconds of footage. They also recovered a single photographe.
He was recommended by probation for a community sentence however the judge decided to give him a 12 month prison sentence suspended for 2 years.
He was also given a 10 year notification requirement and 10 year SHPO.

Hi
There are so many factors that effect the sentencing outcome. From pleading guilty at first available chance to remorse and down to the judge on the day aswell. There are no straight guidelines and all sentencing is done on a case by case basis unfortunately I know that's not going to help I wish there was more consistency to it as I found it difficult to guess the sentence and ultimately what I was told was far away from what my ex actually got. Xx

Agree with the above, there are sentences guidelines but it does appear to vary so much. From an article in my local paper, what the offender had done between the initial knock and the court appearance to turn his life around was also taken into account.
