So frustrated now

It's been an extremely long road with social services but on the 4th of this month our social worker rang and said she was extremely pleased with all of the progress we've made and everything we done so she had written a new report and safety plan to allow me to supervise contact and to begin the process of my partner moving back home. However she said that she was just waiting for her manager to sign off the report and agree to it and then it would be allowed but said until then we have to keep things as they are. We're now 3 weeks later, I have continuously rang and text her amd asked for updates and she just keeps saying it's in the process of getting red and just be patient. But this weekend coming we have a family party and was really hoping my partner could pick us up and take us rather than having to meet him there. Does anyone know if there's a time limit for these things or if there's anything I can do to speed it up?

I don't think there are timescales for this bit with ss. My advice would be to just ride it out on having this approved. There will be lots of other occasions in the future if it's not in place for the upcoming family party. I do completely understand your frustration and speak from experience when I say that there will be other occasions xxx

Yeah I know it just feels really disheartening, it was almost a month ago now she said it just needed signing off and we're still waiting. I wish she'd just not said anything haha
