The ombudsman have accepted our complaint and waiting for it to be assigned to an investigating officer. Just wondering if anybody else has took complaints this far with SS and got anywhere? They have made so many mistakes and breached statutory procedures/guidance it's almost laughable if it wasn't so serious. The fact they refused to investigate the complaint at stage 3 says a lot!

Sorry I can't be any help-just wanted to let you know I'm rooting for you.

Professionals tasked with the important job of keeping children safe secure and happy, who also have the power to completely separate a family; should be held to account if they haven't done their job properly.
As someone who had a Terrible and unprofessional experience I'd be really interested to see whether the ombudsman upholds the complaint.
Im too terrified to complain in case they come back into our lives at any point. Had my child been closer to adult age where they have no power over us I'd be writing a list of complaints as long as my arm!

Must admit it wasn't easy submitting complaints, they don't like it and have used it against us in their assessments- which I have also used as an example in the complaint. They absolutely should be held accountable when they are breaching their own statutory guidance. I just wasn't going to let them sit there and treat us like rubbish. Me and my OH have both done SAR's which gave a lot of insight into how they judge you and to be honest made my blood boil on the things they have written! X
