CPS waiting

The wait is so difficult....
we had second interview mid May and had a call today from the solicitor. Nothing from cps, nothing from the oic. The whole process is shocking for young minds.
I think they've waited for my son to turn 21....it disgusts me. He thought he had moved on with his life and was enjoying life, finding himself when this struck him down for something he'd done 12 plus months prior.
there's no thought to the damage this process does, it's like setting off a hand grenade in private.

It's horrendous and I think unless you've been through it, you couldn't possibly understand it.
Please don't feel you need to say publicly - but I guess you know what the charges are? Did the solicitor give you an indication of the wait for court?
Maybe I can expect our solicitor to be the one who contacts us?
I'm so desperate to get things moving before he's 18 but it just feels less and less likely as time drags on. And it's the sort of thing you don't want to face at all, so it feels weird to be actively pursuing a quicker outcome.
How is your son dealing with it today? Thinking of you all x

It really is horrendous.
the solicitor hasn't given anything away but from the voluntary interview my son said there 32 images, 2 were cat A.
I just feel like they want to make an example.
my son said he thinks there should be something in schools to educate people, as far as I am aware students are told they shouldn't share pictures of themselves or others but there's nothing about actively seeking images. I work in education and have worked predominantly in high schools. I'm selfishly worried how this could impact my job rolexsingle mum and pays all the bills.
maybe we will know more next week but so far today the promised return call has been returned and I can't chase as my son is an adult.

Hi not sure if this helps
My person's 2nd interview was on the 1st of may and last Wednesday he was called by the OIC to go and collect a brown envelope from the police station containing paper with his charges wrote on. Plea hearing is set for 3 weeks after.
I cant say I feel any better for having moved forward but hopefully will be over soon.

Just in case it helps you to know, my son was asked to attend the police station for an update on the case. The OIC met him outside the station and gave him his charges there. He was given his date for plea hearing at the same time as the charges. The plea hearing was 4 weeks after receiving the charges and sentencing 4 weeks after plea hearing.
My OH had 2nd interview in May and was given 6 weeks bail - when he went back after 6 weeks he was charged.
Plea was set for 8 weeks which will be towards the end of this month x
