Hi everyone, not sure if anyone knows but once your youngest child turns 18 is that normally over then from a social services view. My daughter has additional needs and is classed as vulnerable so I wasn't sure if they stay in your life longer because of this? They have currently closed the case while devices are being searched and we are sticking to bail conditions, but heard they normally reopen cases once your person goes to court.

Thank you

Normally child safeguarding would cease to be involved when the child turns 18, though if they are considered to have care and support needs as an adult that doesnt mean that the adult safeguarding team wont take over the case. You dont say what additional needs your daughter has but if I remember correctly from some of the safeguarding courses I've done through work a child with learning disabilities can continue to be managed by child social services after they turn 18, I believe untill they turn 25.
