Court on Wednesday

Hello! We have a court date on Wednesday where my OH will receive his charges. How accurate are solicitors with what they think the charge will most likely be?
We are using a free one appointed by the police as we don't have money for one, she said he'll most likely get a suspended sentence and will need to attend classes or do community service etc (which he has said to both solicitor and the plea person he'll do 100%)
The plea person however was trying to make him confess to being a predator, and downloading or looking for images (despite saying that nothing shows he was actually looking.) His story has always remained the same, it has never changed during the initial arrest, the interview or this plea appointment. But that woman said he would be lucky to get a suspended sentence and that people confess to her during these appointments. He said he called her out on it in her notes when she was noting down "will not confess to" and she paused but then continued to write anyway.
Are solicitors normally correct with what they think will happen?

I'm a bit confused. Can you explain who this plea person is? I thought the person being investigated got charges and a date for their plea hearing and the person who they talk to for advice is their solicitor, but it sounds as if this is someone different. Sorry if I've misunderstood!!
Yes sorry! I'm not good at putting thoughts into words.
This plea person took my OH plea, it was meant to be an appointment for him to like write an apology about how sorry he was but it turned into more questioning. I'm not too sure what they're called, but that's what they were meant to do.

Do you perhaps mean a probation officer rather than a plea person?
Usually charges are either sent in the post or at the police station, not in court.
Has he been in court at all for this already?
Obviously we don't know your circumstances, whether you're person is telling you everything, how aware you are of what is going on. Without that sort of information we are a bit limited in what sort of advice we can give.
BUT we all hope for a good outcome for you on Wednesday x

This sounds a lot like probation doing a pre sentencing report interview. He should have been charged already and been to court once to enter a plea. Now he is going back on Wednesday for sentencing.
Yes probation! Sorry I forgot the word to it. This is the sentencing and I'm just wondering how accurate solicitors are? The solicitor said he's likely to get suspended.
Basically he was in a telegram app that he joined off a website, he saw a single image and then just never went back into the group again. It didn't occur to him to report it or leave the group. Unfortunately, telegram automatically downloads images to your phone like WhatsApp unless you turn the setting off so he ended up with thousands of images on his phone and PC (because he links them together) without his knowledge.
The probation person was trying to make him admit to liking said images, when he has absolutely no interest at all; he admits they were on his phone and PC he knows he can't deny that because they were found but not once had he ever physically searched for anything.
Are solicitors normally accurate with their predictions? The solicitor is saying that he'll likely get a suspended sentence and I completely believe him when he says he wasn't looking at all. He hates kids; can't stand to be anywhere near them.

Nothing is ever certain, but a suspended sentence is the most likely outcome for an images offence.
I just wanted to update and say he got a suspended sentence. He's currently looking for a new job so now we're looking into help for that (something he wanted to do for years anyway not because this propped up) to see what help we can get for him for employment.
