Risk assessment SS

Hi. Social services today have decided to put my children on a CIN plan. Which to be fair i am delighted about. My OH did have to move out and is allowed supervised visits. We get our family plan this week. I know my OH needs to do a risk assessment with social services and they have advised this can take 12 weeks. He has admitted to having images on his computer. The social worker from the assessment will decide if he is allowed home after the assessment. . He has not been interviewed, charged or anything. Just wondering if anyone had experience of OH being allowed home after the risk assessmnet. It is all IIOC no contact. Any advice greatfully appreciated.
Hi,
Im similar. Arrested last June, assessment done and closed two months later with no more action by SS.
September bail changed which triggered another assessment. This was from Oct-Jan.
That SW decided we need to go on a CIN plan. That was Feb-present. We have done our risk assessments, both done the inform and inform plus course. Husband has been in regular contact with LFF, has a Stopso therapist and consults with safer lives.
SW and risk assessor are meeting this week to discuss and put forward their recommendations. They said they'd let us know by the middle of August if he's allowed home.
We've got some professional advice from the family rights group who have said the recommendations are just that. SS have no parental rights on a CIN as it's voluntary.
As soon as I've found out I'll pop back on here.
Ours was images, no contact. All devices clear and we got NFA in June this year.
Despite all this and our work they have plugged on and said he isn't allowed home yet.

Thanks for this, similar except they will find something on one of my OH devices.
I really hope he gets home soon. Especially if NFA. Like why delay. I dont understand why they treat people the way they do sometimes.
Can i ask, after the first assessment was closed last year , was OH allowed home?
Thanks

He wasn't allowed home no.
They closed due to them classing me as a protective parent and a robust safety plan in place.
He hasn't slept at home since the 21st June 2024. He's been sleeping in his car since December 2024.
Our report stated he isn't allowed home full time until either the risk assessment is done or the police investigation is complete, whichever comes first. They have now gone back on that and won't allow him home until they finalise their assessment.
I did the inform course and a lady on their had her husband home at their 3 month bail as it was changed. All SW are different, my first one was great, second made me suicidal and the third is brand new so we feel like we are a training exercise for her.

Thanks for this.
I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.
It just seems they tell you one thing but do the complete opposite. They get hopes up then dash them again.
All I have had from SS and police is lies lies and lies it is driving me insane.
I cant expect my OH home then anytime soon.

Please feel free to message me or I'm happy to swap numbers.
I feel the same, we've had our hopes dashed so much. We were supposed to hear back this week about their recommendations. We've heard nothing at all so that's another deadline missed.
