Hi, our son was arrested in March 2024. His bail kept on being extended until now he is on Bail with no return date. His was WhatsApp related with videos and chat . Another Police force in a different county are involved as well as the police in our area (who arrested him). There appears to be multiple 'victims' and the police said they are investigating a further 3 (3 to begin with). I am so worried he will go to prison. Has anyone else had a similar thing and what was the outcome?

Hi Jam doughnuts my OH was arrested January 2024 since then his bail has been reset three times and now he's out pending further investigations. It is a very long hard road to go down unfortunately and the police don't seem to have any interest or support for the families who in fact are Known as secondary victims unfortunately it is just awaiting game and having to wait for the police to finish their investigations before moving forward onto the next stage. I hope you are able to find support on this forum and you don't have to wait too much longer sending you love and hugsxxx
Stan Cat thank you , I hope you are OK. It is such a rollercoaster some days feel like it will be forgotten about (i know it won't) as we just carry on as normal and other days are so dark feeling so down and unwanted thoughts. I just sit in my sons room sometimes and cry, just think about the little boy he was. Love and hugs to you xx

Hi jam doughnuts I've messaged you privately xx
Hi jam Doughnurs and Stan Cat ,
I just wanted to say how much I can relate to you both. It's an horrendous journey , long and brutal - I think we all mourn for what we have lost - it's hard trying to get our heads around a different future than what we anticipated.
My autistic son is being sentenced next week , it was deferred with 18 hrs to spare due to lack of court time this week . I am lost for words with the stress of it all .
i hope you are keeping sane and bearing up as best you can x

Hi Winnie, It's absolutely disgusting how long the police and the courts are able to keep people hanging on they should be given A timeframe in which to complete investigations and once a date has been set for the court hearing they should be made to continue with the hearing after all we will have to work overtime so why can't the Courts !!
Exactly Stan Cat. The stress of it all along with having to make myself available for all his appointments and then for the courts to chop and change dates at the last minute. My life has been completely overwhelmed. Hope you're ok?
