Hi I'm just wondering if the age of the children in images makes a difference. Like if a 15 year old was looking at similar age images, then surely they would not take to court? X

This is something I've often wondered because when my son was interviewed they kept saying 'remember a child is someone under age of 18'. Plus fact they stated 'looking for an image'.

Surely if someone of same age, particularly at older end of scale they have to take it into account. But we got told many around this age are falling into this trap.

They might take their age into consideration but any pornographic image/video of someone under 18 is illegal. So they're still likely to be done for searching or holding illegal images but the sentence may be more lenient due to their age
