It's very quickly approaching the end of my partner's time on the SOR. He was issued a caution and 2 years on the SOR. We have travelled to Italy recently without any trouble and much to my surprise he wasn't stopped at border control or asked more questions than usual.
My favourite place in the world is Australia and I'd love to take my kids there some day. I'm wondering what this would look like in the future and if that would mean going without my partner. While he's on the SOR he can't go, but I am wondering if he'll be allowed in once he's no longer subject to notification requirements? He has no conviction as he received a caution and his case didn't go to court. Would this mean he'd be able to travel to places like Australia, Canada and Thailand?
He has his final visit from the offending manager people soon so I'll get him to ask them, but the detective who issued the caution was actually unsure of what would happen in terms of travel to these places once off the SOR.
