Hey All,
Me and OH due to go on our first holiday aboard since charges. Just wanted to know everyone's experiences with boarder control etc as I am very nervous!
OIC and probation approved straight away as he is 'low risk's but am scared the process will be different than before eg) getting pulled over etc.
Can anyone share their experiences and put my mind to rest lol x

We have just been away but went via le shuttle. Going, the french border control didn't ask any questions and we went straight through. Coming home English border control asked questions about where we had stayed and where we had been but then just let us through. No real stress after we had both been panicking about it
We have travelled ready a few times since conviction (within europe and outside) and everything has been quite calm. We have always informed probation and got police approval.
We asked lot of questions before travelling to his officer (if the other country is inform, what to expect at the border control and she actually answered to almost everything we needed to be prepared)
His passport doesn't work anymore through the e-gates in the UK (his police told him that is normal and don't worry) so when he is coming back from holidays he queue for police control (like the non European passports or those with VISA) and they always ask regular questions: where did you stay, who did you travel with and confirming his address.
But he never got stopped whether by police or on the e-gates when arriving or leaving another country.
Hope is helpful

Same here, on our return we attemepted the scanners as they were directing us all in that direction.
Upon scanning my OH passport he was instructed to go to a desk but also my daughters and mums passports said the same. Myself and Dad went through and waited on the other side of the desk.
He was asked very basic questions about who he was, where he had been and they they let him though.
We did worry in advance as this was our first time but was a very speedy process.
