SOR Consequences

Hi,
Background - Got the knock in July as a result of a police sting. That's the only offence they will find. I am staying with my husband and we have a child together.
if my husband is convicted and ends up on the SOR, does that mean he can't live at home with us? At the moment he is only allowed to be with my daughter when I am around in the daytime although they have said she is not at risk. Just thinking ahead to how long he might need to find somewhere to live and how we are going to afford it as he will also lose his job.
Thank you

Hi,
It's not the SOR that determines if your husband can move back home. If he is given a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) with contact restrictions on then his solicitor should push to have that removed as it's an online offence.
It will be down to ss and his probation officer and offender manager to assess the risk posed to your child post sentencing.
My partner is on SOR and doesn't have a contact clause within his SHPO so he is allowed to live at home. We have worked with ss, probation and offender manager to make the changes needed for family reunification xxx

It will be the SS you need on your side, which you will learn isn't fun... they'll treat him as if he is already charged and sentenced as guilty just a pre warning and they will be viewing things at the worst case scenario. I have had to discuss some horrific scenarios with them because my daughters 1 and cannot communicate yet. Depending what happens will depend on the next steps I'm afraid, but it doesn't mean you won't live together it's just not a quick road.
My husbands been accused of possession and distribution of IIOC, no communication or contact offenses. We are 8 months in so far and awaiting CPS to decide what he is charged with. I know some people are still waiting on forensics longer then I've waited. When will CPS get back? How long is a piece of string is what the police said. So a long time.
My husband lost his job and within a month he found a new job that doesn't require a DBS, so there is hope for you on the money side. Do you have family you can stay with? That may help as some people wait 18 months some have waited 3 years

unfortunately it's a mixed bag; some are allowed home some aren't. It depends on a few things but the final word is with social services as they can ignore the police and courts and escalate if they still deem it too risky for them to live at home. My ex- wasn't allowed under bail conditions from arrest. Social services also made it very clear they would not support this under any circumstances and even said if I stopped all contact immediately they'd step out of our lives and never see them again! SHPO also enforced not to live at home or have unsupervised.
Thanks all for your responses! The social worker doing our initial assessment has been great and doesn't think things need to go further but her boss will decide whether she will be a child in need (I think that's the right terminology) but I won't get my hopes up!
We don't have family close by and our friend who my OH is staying with can only have him short term. Bail ends at the end of October but I guess it will be extended on the same terms.
I think I'm mostly concerned about the impact of all this on my daughter as she grows up. Are people's names who are on the SOR made public?
