Hello, hoping someone can help. Our neighbour sadly passed away so we are expecting new neighbours soon. It is a council house with 3 bedrooms so I expect it to be allocated to a family. Will my husbands conviction be revealed to them?

Thanks Lee. I was pretty sure it would come under Sarah's Law, it's not easy to get that information and if it is passed on it breaches data protection. Hes going to discuss it with his OMU tomorrow, they weren't answering the phone today. It took us so long to get here safely I imagine risk would need to be high to inform neighbours. He has been low risk since the tail end of 2015.

So for anyone going through similar I'll put the response from OMU. Disclosure to neighbours with young children is not necessary UNLESS a relationship is formed. Being civil isn't classed as a relationship such as putting out bins, taking in post etc. They do not want to disclose unless they have to.

It's a huge relief Lee. Still always a little bit of doubt in my head but that's always there x
