Its over- sentencing done

Omg, what a day! Sentence of 18 months community order, 200 hours unpaid work and 5 years SOR. Best outcome of a bad situation. Offence was x 2 attempt to communicate with a child.
No press inside the court room and they said a SHPO wasnt necessary due to low risk of reoffending.
I hope I never set foot in a court room again, I was sweating from start to finish. We are no longer together but I still show support for him and want to remain friends. Only time will tell if that's feasible but what I do know is I could never be with him again because I would always be wondering what if its happening again and once the trust is gone that's it.
This forum has honestly been a life saver, all the information has been so helpful. Even the fact he wasnt told to sign on the SOR within 3 days after his guilty plea. This came up today in his favour because it wasnt listed on any court paper work but off his own back he went to the police station!
I will keep a check in but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has supported and offered kind words throughout. Im so thankful for that slight light in a real dark situation. Love to you all! xx

So glad to hear this is finished for you too. I'm the same as you. I didn't stay but we remain friends . My person was in the media though so I'm always mindful of that. This also shows such inconsistencies in sentences. My person was charged with 2 attempted communication offences also but received two years suspended sentence. 10 years SHPO and sor. Offender manager and probation officer seem to have no worries about him. He's found work. So I think because he's just got his head down and got on with things they're happy. No worries about him travelling abroad if he wants to etc etc. We're two years since arrest and I'm thankful it's all been dealt with. I don't know how people are managing who have had this drag on for years. Onwards and upwards I like to say. Here's to a brighter future xx
Daisy and Caggie, so glad it is over for you and your persons. What a relief that must be, to put that horrible chapter behind you and be able to get on with your lives and know how the future looks. Congratulations! Yes, onwards....
Caggie- yes its odd how different cases can be. To be fair its definitely about who you have on the day, first we went in and had a judge and for a reason im not going to say he wouldnt do the case so it had to be moved to another court. We then got 3 magistrates instead. The solicitor said if we had of stayed in the first court he thinks it would have been a suspended sentence! There was also a reporter in the first court but nothing read out before they decided to be involved. Then the 2nd court no reporter... everything happens for a reason. Thank God.
6789- thanks so much. I seen your post about court coming up, hope all goes as well as it can for you and your person.

Thanks Caggie, no court date yet for my person, but the day will come.
