Hi,

In our social care report it says what flagged our IP address was an upload of an image, does this mean that our son uploaded an image he took or an image he had from somewhere else? And could it mean uploaded to a site or sent to a person?

It's all very confusing. Thank you x

Probably an image he uploaded from somewhere. I think there is a different term for taking a photo.

Yes it is all very confusing :).

The term "making" an image is misleading too as it seems to mean taking a photo, but it doesn't, it means downloading an image.

If social services are using the tech language correctly uploading would mean that he has moved something from his phone/computer to the internet, as opposed to taking a file from the internet to his device which would be downloading.

The uploaded image could be something he has taken himself or it could be an image which he has previously downloaded from the internet.

6789 - the term your thinking of for creating a completly new illegal image is production
