I'm looking for some help and advice from council tenants please.

We have been council tenants for over 20 years, have always been the perfect tenants and we love our home.

Our person is our adult autistic son who lives with us, in the tenancy, it says the you can be evicted if someone in your household commits a crime.

We have the option to buy our council house, but the amount is a lot more than we had hoped as they have capped the right to buy discount so we would only just be able to afford the monthly mortgage, we never intended on getting a mortgage before this happened.

We really want to stay as council tenants, but we don't want to be thrown out of our home. Our son is still awaiting chargers and we have not and don't plan to tell anyone if he is charged, but I have read from other posts that if the police need to put a marker on your house for your safety, once charged, then they have to let the council know.

How on earth do we make this huge decision about something that we don't know what the outcome will be!

Any advice from council tenants is greatly appreciated right now.

Thanks x

Hi Sadso

Thank you for replying, I think we are just trying to think of every worse case scenario, We just want him to be charged already, no matter how bad it is, it can't be worse than this unknown limbo we are all left in.
