At our last mba meeting we had to sign a written agreement, by signing this they have said they will take daughter off the child protection plan and de escalate to a child in need.

2 days prior to this meeting we had a family group meeting where they asked my daughter what she would like and how she would like to see her dad. She said she would like an occasional meal at home with Nan to supervise. Easily done. My mum is in a small 1 bed flat, with no real room for dinners at hers.

1st thing on their agreement , father will not attend the home address when daughter is present in the home. I wonder what the point of family meeting was, is it just a tick box they have to do? Why ask daughter what she wants when they are going to ignore it anyway? I'm gutted for her.
sorry there isn't really a point to this post, just wanted a moan really. They frustrate me so much! I'm fed up of being good and doing everything they ask....

Hi Livvy

I have just finished the PLO process and didn't have to sign anything. It sounds like they are trying to put a safety plan together for the future. Have you got a conference coming up anytime soon? You need clarity from the SW or team manager on this? X

Conferences are all done. Next big one will be the child protection one in feb where they have already said they'll downgrade it. I'm happy about all that just so annoyed at the fact they ask for opinions and ask my daughter what she wants to just ignore us. They have already made the decisions so what's the point?

I'd be asking for the conference to be brought forward. If they already know that it's being downgraded then they shouldn't be keeping children on CPP's unnecessarily. It's disproportionate. I would have been doing the same if the processes were not so close together. We were de-escalated from PLO officially on 7th October and have our conference on 16th October. Think it's just pure luck for us that PLO ended just before the next conference. We just had our last core group meeting this morning where everyone agreed that CIN is now needed xx
