Thank you so much for this section and reconising the executive function age range for a YP with learning differculties.
I don't come on here much now as we are coming up to 2 years post sentance. However this forum got me though alot of moments where I felt lost, overwelmed, angry, disheartend, confused, questioned my parenting and just damn right exhusted. Being able to come to a section just for parents would of been amazing.
The growing posts I see are heartbreaking, especally YP and a common theme of diagnoised or undiagnoised autism.
Just a big hug to anyone of this topic, and there is light at the end of the tunnel, I spent a few years in survival mode, but with somatic therapy, Ive managed to come out of the freeze response I was stuck in from the knock and my YP has moved on with the help of counselling and the LFF course, which I done as well and life, although different, lessons have hopefully been learnt and we move on.

Thank you so much for posting. It's always good to hear from people who are out the other side.
It's tough being a parent of a teen - then this adds a whole new level.
