What happens after second interview?

So my partner is being called back for second interview. I'm not sure what will come from this. But what usually happens? He has been accused on image offenses with no evidence of contact or communication offenses.

My brain just really needs an almost play by play to stop the anxiety spiral. I'm the sort of person who needs worst case senario stuff of my brain will keep spiralling into an endless doom pit.

Omg I hope you get answers soon, thats a long time to keep you waiting. I'm hoping ours won't take that long. I know the police are trying to fast track the investigation because I have anxiety and depression as well as my daughter being 1. They don't want this to impact her too much (luckily it hasn't, she just accepts the situation). But I know the older she gets the more language she will develope and the more likely the questions will start. She's very forward and so I know it will be sooner rather then later.

My OH had a second interview at which they discussed a couple of images found on his phone - all other devices were clear - initial arrest was communication. He was bailed for a further 6 weeks then charged with one attempted communication, and one each Cat C &Cat B

Plea hearing is in a couple of weeks where he will be pleading guilty although he doesn't remember ever seeing the images - he can't definitively say so, so for expediency he will go guilty on all charges.

Similar to lost in the woods

Told what was found on the device. Prepared a statement of guilty with the solicitor. Took from may 1st until 23rd July to be called in to the police station to collect the charges. Plea hearing next week.

Yeah it's been a very long time forgot what life was like before all this, he's going not guilty so maybe that's why things are taking longer, it got sent to the cps back in January and they only have so long unless they've sent it back and forth to the police for more evidence...

my children are teens and unfortunately now what's going on, luckily there thick skinned and hasn't had too much for an impact on them.

Thank you everyone. I honestly hope what ever comes from this interview the next stage after isn't as long as it has been for some of you. I keep clawing onto the hope that fast tracking is applied to all stages.

Just trying to live in the moment and trying not to think of what may or may not be is is so hard.

I've never heard of the fast tracking. I wish they would fast track minors too :-(

I wish that too. I have PND and my daughter was under 1 at the time. I was under the perinatal team so I think to help me and my daughter they put us on there or we would probably still be waiting for forensics. I'm rather thankful although I'm not enjoying the SS experience at all that she will hopefully be too small to remember by the time this is done or have only fuzzy memories. Everything I do is to help protect her mental health as so many of my friends are messed up because of their early childhood

I don't want to make anyone more down but I wouldn't get too hopeful of promises to expedite things.

We waited over 3 years for it to get to court, in this time life has been on hold including not attending college because we couldn't cope with the what ifs.

He's been admitted as a inpatient to a psychiatric hospital due to the stress and depression and nearly lost his life after being the victim in an unrelated crime. You can imagine the pressure this has put on the whole family. Sadly, it appears there are so many higher profile cases that take up the resources and time. I also think they don't really care that much despite them saying all the right things.

Swimmer im so sorry you're going through this. I've only semi been involved with the police once before this and that was for a friend who was a victim and it took them 3 years to get to the there isn't enough evidence sorry stage. But you always remain hope that maybe that won't be the case for you.

I think the only reason my husbands still alive is because I didn't leave him. He became oddly interested in tree after this and he did say he had a plan after the interview to end it because he thought I'd walk away and he didn't see the point in living anymore if I wasn't part of his life (he told me this about 3 months after the knock and he had checked for the 8th time I was staying). I'm still angry at him, I probably will be for a while because he has known my own thoughts on this subject our whole relationship, and I am disappointed because of that, that he even went there even for his reasons why (which is one of the reasons I chose to stay).

The wait is the biggest punishment for me really, all the time there isn't a decision I have the SS on me like a hawlk because ultimately they play by the law and the laws very black and white so they are too. Which is infuriating.

That really is crazy, I don't expect things to move too fast but I do hope we aren't waiting a long time. Its within our daughters interest for it to move quicker because it's her up brining that's really being effective and studies show the first 3 years of your life really do define a lot of your life.
